Performance Design, Technology students attend regional meeting and job fair

Seven Alfred University students studying Performance Design and Technology recently attended the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) Upstate New York Annual Winter Meeting and Frank Willard Job Fair hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID).
Students toured theaters and shop spaces for NTID and in the RIT Student Hall for Exploration and Development. Workshops and presentations focused on topics including projection design, online identities and portfolios, and production for dance.
All seven students submitted résumés and interviewed with one or more theatre and dance companies looking to hire interns, apprentices, and employees for the 2025 summer season. Theater and dance companies interviewing included The Glimmerglass Festival, Jacob's Pillow, Barrington Stage Company, The REV, and Tri-Cities Opera.
